Sad news reaching newshubgh.com is that Archbishop Desmond Tutu has kicked the bucket.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu died at the age of 90 after battling with prostate cancer. Many will remember him for ending apartheid in South Africa.
The death of Desmond has touched many as many famous people like Obama, President Cyril Ramaphosa has reacted by sending their condolences. Below are some of the tributes;
President Cyril Ramaphosa: “another chapter of bereavement in our nation’s farewell to a generation of outstanding South Africans”.
“an iconic spiritual leader, anti-apartheid activist and global human rights campaigner”.
“A man of extraordinary intellect, integrity and invincibility against the forces of apartheid, he was also tender and vulnerable in his compassion for those who had suffered oppression, injustice and violence under apartheid, and oppressed and downtrodden people around the world.”
Archbishop Desmond Tutu left behind his wife Nomalizo Leah Tutu a South African activist and four children.
The name of his children are;Trevor Thamsanqa, Theresa Thandeka, Naomi Nontombi and Mpho Andrea.
He also had 9 grandchildren before dying.Palesa Tutu and Lizo Tutu that is Trevor children, Xabiso Gxashe from Thandeka, Tebogo Joy Ngoma, Nompumelelo Ngomane, and Mpilo Ngomane from Naomi, and Nyaniso Burris and Onalena Burris from Mpho.
